Here's a good write up on Vice about some dudes trying to run the Baja 1000 in a old Beetle.

I'd like to see the Jalopnik crew get together and do the 1000 or even the 500 with the Torch Bug.

I recognize that Beetle! That's Jim Graham and Desert Dingo. They've been doing Baja in that car for about a decade now. Awesome guys!
